Help routing dual check valve catch can
#1
I started a thread over at gmt400 to get some different perspectives. I just finished my build on my 96 c1500 with centrifugal supercharger 18psi and marine intake and can't wrap my head around pcv systems and forced induction. Its a fresh build and don't want excess crankcase pressure. The catch can i bought a few years back from Rx has 3 connections 2 of which have check valves. I would be greatful for ny help.

Honestly I have never believed in the crazy checkvalve setups with boosted builds, they just dont flow enough for a higher power setup. My suggestion is to put vent filters directly on the valve covers, or use large lines to route the valve covers to a vented breather can somewhere.

Its a pro and con thing. With just vents you may get some oil smell at idle and idle tuning may be challenging if you are still using the MAF, but WOT will be fine. With checkvalves part throttle will behave better, but you may still have WOT or boost area issues.

Ok. MAF currently still hooked up but plan on delete with tunner since I'm running speed density through 2 bar map in intake manifold.

Ok, we have 3 hoses. 2 hoses have check valves on them, the other doesnt. The hose without the check valve hooks up to your pcv valve in the valve cover. Then the hoses with the check valves, one goes to the intake manifold after throttle body and the other check valve hose goes to supercharger inlet. Doesnt matter which check valve hose goes where. The intake manifold hose is used for when not in boost and when you are then the hose going to the supercharger inlet is used. That way theres always crankcase vacuum even in boost. Might seem complicated but RX should have some pics on their site as well as on google of other peoples setups.
