Front mount turbo, 8.1L
#21
hey, i dont believe your idea of flipping the exhaust manifolds will work. with my custom front mount we realized that it would not work on the 6.0 vortec engine because when we put it in the mill and indicated the holes they were off center and the center holes are staggered so the are not able to be flipped or swapped out for eachother. what i ended up doing is hole sawing a hole in my stock cast manifold and using a nickel rod to weld a bird beaked elbow to my stock manifold for the turbo to mount on. good luck with your project tho. any questions feel free to email me at chevymansixo@yahoo.com

Hey guys I do have some upgraded pics since moving the Twins from rear to just under the factory exhaust manifolds. Also had changed out the A/R size on hot side from .96 to .68's (it took months to finally figure out Turbonetics had sent me the wrong size)
. Long story short pulled of 100+ft of Heat wrap, Stainless works long tube headers, then custom built pipes from factory headers to tubines and of course reconfig oil and charge pipes. **Night and day difference...

Looks good!!! I may try this when I dropped forged engine in my truck.
