Cool. I wasn't sure if you went by there or not. The place is kinda a mess right now, as they're in the process of redoing the showroom and setting up a parts room, plus they just got the Dyno. He's a good guy, hope you had a good experience. The dyno will show, I'm glad you had a "before" dyno to compare to. You know you can hit him up at easternfbody.com forum...there is a section under sponsors called "ask Jason". Let me know when you plan on going back, I'd like to swing by and see your truck. I'm only like 5 minutes from there...if that.

Nah, I would have recognized your truck, or any truck "activity" for that matter. I stop by on occasion. I know back in November they broke some record for NA LSX Corvette something or another at Capital Raceway with like a 9.4x or so, Corvette Magazine was there that day taking pictures and what not. I think XLR8NSS and Speedy were there that day as well. They also had a Radix'd Avalanche up there last week for it's 3rd transmission.

Dewey, it only took 8 minutes that night because I knew you were following me and you drive like an old lady!

here is what must be the new actuator/bypass valve when the kit is ordered without the electronics. This makes it so there is no plugging, blocking, or bypassing needed. Just bolts right up.

U know how those trucks that only go fast on n2o are...they don't know what to do with theirselves when you hit the pedal but don't give them any funny gas!!! LOL hehehe

Are we talking about the same shop here...they have a dyno in there now? The FBody place?

Yeah, they got it about a month ago. Not sure what the guys name is that works with Jason in there, but he seems pretty knowlegable. That is my main concern here, i want to get this tuned, but i dont want to be a guinea pig, i just want the truck tuned right. That was the only thing that worried me a little was the fact they are not really experienced with full size trucks. They were confident they could help me out so im going to trust them and give it a go, i think they will do a good job. After i got the dyno there at the F-body place i went and had another dyno done someplace else because i wasnt real happy with how it did. Sure enough, the other place that was a little more experienced with trucks, dyno'ed my truck and it did 20 or so HP better and 61lb/ft of torque better than the one i had done at the F-body place. I guess there are a few factors that could play into that, but it just made me think a little. They just got the dyno, and may not have been real experienced with dyno'ing or dyno tuning. After this time around, i will most likely look into getting HPTuners, or EFIlive and start learning myself. They are very experienced in the ls1/ls6 camaro's and im guessing that tuning them is not to far removed from tuning a truck so i sure they will do a good job.

Oh they have been doing dyno tunes since they went into business a few years ago, but before they had to go to Glen Burnie to Heffner's (Viper Performance) place and use his dyno. I'm not sure why it would vary 20hp / 60tq different on the same brand dyno without tuning. Anyway, Good Luck with whoever tunes it, and keep us posted.

Just got off the phone with F-body. I have an appointment set up with Jason on Thursday evening. Dont misunderstand me...LOL, i wasnt questioning thier ability to tune....they obviously do a good job judging by the cars and people they had in there, i was just a little worried how much experience they had with trucks is all. The more i thought about it though, there really shouldnt be a lot of difference between tuning a Camaro and a truck as long as you know what what to look for and how to use the software. Looking forward to getting down there on thursday and seeing how we do. Another thing that probably makes a difference is the fact that when we dyno'ed the truck at his place (f-body), we tested it from 1750rpm- 4700rpm and in 3rd gear. When we tested it at the other place, we tested it from 3000rpm-5000rpm and we tested it in 3rd gear with tow/haul engaged so it would hold the gear without kicking down. Pretty sure that would make a difference in the numbers. Thats the way we will dyno it this time for sure. I am set to go in around 4pm, but they have to install the O2 bung as well, so i am sure i will be there for a few hours.

when i was there...there was a vette on a lift that had to have over 50 grand in it...and that is without the motor and trans in it. I am sure the total value of that ride is 200K plus.

Trucks are heavier...lots heavier tuning difference will be taking that into consideration. The cool thing is, they definitely know how to get power out of a tune....plenty of experience.
