If you wanna spend some money, get with an intercooler shop and get some exact measurements and fill the entire frontal area, that's the best way.
That much power, why not an a/w setup? They do fine on the street, flow better, and cool better, just my opinion of course.

Air to water with a proper sized HX will do fine. And you can always loop though your heater core to help.
The key is sizing all the parts any one too small you will know it. And then AT the track use ICE to really slam the temps. Just build a core for a lighnitng 25psi air temps average 110.f. with no ice.

WE have several designs on the table for both.

Heres the one we do for the 07 trucks but I am starting to believe it will fit the 03 and up. Just need to get some measurment off one. The covers as much area as we can even dipping behind the bumper, and we can still add a couple of more inches if the truck is not lower and stay off the park stops.

Josh hit me up we can get you a killer set up put together.

It will keep them down more than just a little.
Also, I assume you'll be spraying meth, that will keep temps way down.

A/w setups run great on and off the track, but really shine when you pump the water through an ice box.
I say it's time to skip on the a/a and do the a/w if you're shooting for 1000hp.
It's not like your truck will be making 1000hp on the street, so a little warmer iat's and little less timing on the street backing it down to 800hp is still good, lol.
It'll just make more when you ice it down, run race gas and shoot for that 1000hp mark.

Iat's will be more than under control with a good heat exchanger and meth.
It'll be awesome with ice.

I'm switching over to a/w on the 90 with the motor from the vho. I think if you ran a big hx or ran 2 of them in series you would be fine and like stated above when you throw ice in the mix look out.

if you cut two inches off the top of a d-max fmic it will fit in there. you have to move the radiator out a tad but it will cool like a ****. just make sure you have the large radiator and good fans to pull air through to the radiator to keep the eng cool.
