I guess I’ll ask the question.
Why 1200hp? What are you trying accomplish that 700-900 won’t do?
I like seeing builds like this, don’t get me wrong.
1200hp on the street or strip is going to be a bitch to even get it to hook good.

AWD FTW!! Even that becomes a issue to hook.

Why I joined this money pit sight originally was when I saw the value of a 4wd/awd truck. Beating quick street cars bus length's from a dig has been such a joy. I'm just not into 60 or 80mph roll racing or I'd have a C5/6 with boost for the light weight. 1200 in a truck sure sounds fun though if it can live. Only live once right?

Mainly cause a friend of mines says he can make sure it with hook.. And its something I just wanna see.. So will see.

I rev my 408 to 7400 all the time. I do change pistons every 2 seasons due to skirt wear. I keep my shift points at 6500rpm for normal driving and then have them higher with the tow haul button if I want to have some fun.

So we aren't wrong. We are saying the same thing that you are; you just refresh the motor as a result of the problems exhibited by the short skirt and long stroke
High rpm may or may not amplify the effects, but I'm sure it's not helping. Just my $.02. Corvettes are a pain in the *** to motor swap, so I do not want anything to do with a refresh every 2yrs lol

whats it run in the 1/4 that justifies doing this? Is it really worth it to spin it that high and gain a little, vs. being a bit slower?

I took off the blower on my compound setup on my 402 (4" stroke, 4.005" bore) so now its twin sw475s with a holley intake. I plan to spin it to 7k (plenty of cam and turbo) and let it eat until it blows up.
