Awesome build. Ya I would be a bit worried about that rpm on a 4” stroke Gen 3. But that’s just my opinion. I take mine Gen 4 370 there but shorter stroke and longer skirt. Even at that I usually target 7k

 

Well that sucks... I didn't know this before otherwise I would have just gone with the LS7 lifters. So do think I will rev any higher then 6500 now . will make sure my tuner stay below that.. Thanks, for the knowledge!

 

I have the same lifters, 2116 Johnson’s. Either way that was a good choice. I wouldn’t run LS7’s if they were free. Hey you can spin it to whatever you want, if it was mine I would keep it below 6700-6800. Again, that’s my opinion. Opinions are like ********, everyone has one.

Well, being that money not so easy to come by these days... I'm not going to risk it! Plus I'm thankful for the input! Yeah the Johnson's, surely a better choice over the LS7 lifters, even though a lot a folks are still running them..

1200rwhp is going to be a lot for a 4 bolt block...not saying it cant be done but youre going to want to make that power with rpm and not toque, but as others have pointed out high rpm with a 408 is a bit riskier.

 

I knew it would be hard but its a goal, but I know of some 5.3 with the hoops and a ton of boost that have.. Its not a drag truck but I wanna get there or around that number .. If I can beat my M3 with 600hp I'll be ok with her being a sleeper..
