With the plans you seem to have for your truck I would go with the Radix.
It's complete and proven. Will more than meet your goals and make good power at 8psi. A centrifugal at 8psi just isnt going to compete with the radix at that boost level. If you were setting goals for 550 or over 600rwhp then I would say go with a turbo or centrifugal.

I think the broke piston is the tuners fault not procharger. Not to bash on MTI but I don't think its a good idea to tune a 5000lb FI truck on a dynojet.
Not enough load to simulate real world conditions. Had I known this prior to getting it tuned I would have choosen another place to dyno. Nelson gets to tune the 408.

a turbo set up will be good if u want to make big power. but radix is a good and complete kit and will make a good dd!! IMHO i feel that a turbo set up is fun to drive over a s/c but thats just me. good luck and make some power. let me remind you horsepower gets addicting and it comes fast

IMO you ought to really take a look at teh STS kits they are NICE when you equip them right. Everyone dogs them for not being complete but hell if you add another 1500 which would equal the cost of the RADIX system it would be complete too. With the STS you just have to round up the "extra" parts you need to make it perform to its top potential. Just at Wilde Racing did the kit in hi heavy truck, 80e and 5200-5400 shift points on a STOCK cam. I think that speaks for itself and he has about as much tied up in the STS kit as you would with a RADIX and run 1/2 a second slower if not more. Not to mention you can GAIN mileage with the sts kit. If you dont feel like rounding up the extra parts then get the RADIX.

The 3.25" gets me 8-10 psi summer, 12.5-13.5 winter(bye, bye 4L60E). The 2.75" got me 12.5-13.5 on 90-95*F days. Don't dare try it in the winter.

thanks

slow:

its not the fact of rounding up parts for the sts cause thats not a problem i just dont trust the location of the system from the standpoint of protection from rain this will be on an every day driver and i want to basically bolt the kit on an forget about it so to speak ive heard stories that if you get into boost while its raining or something youll suck water in your intake even if its relocated - not happening for me if i want to get into boost i want to be able to and not have the weather tell me that i cant
