Well I'm glad I came across this forum, with that what do most of ya'll think
of the ATI it?

I like the kit it's intercooled and basically a belt driven turbo...

Is it me or do most turbo setup's now still need alot of fab work to get it together?

Nope, the ATI (centrifugal type blower) is much different than a turbo

Most turbo kits are pretty well put together now. Thats why they are so expensive. They do require a good tuner IMO though.

I thought an ATI charger was a belt driven turbo basically my badd, I have seen some of those turbo kits on this site I saw one guy had pics of him cutting into his frame to mount the intercooler that's pretty crazy.

Its not an important part of the frame you saw. Its more of a bumper supprt and doesnt comprimise the strcutural integrity of the rest of the vehicle

Where are you measuring your IATS from the blower manifold or by the air filter?

When I worked at FLP I had a few customers with Magnusons on their vettes that John Page at 21st Century Muscle in Texas tell them to move the IAT to the air intake by the filter which didnt make any sense to me or our tuner.

moving the air intake temp sensor might have been suggested to fool the PCM, so in essence the -timing via the IAT correction table would be less likely to be applied. Doesn't sound like a good choice IMO. Especially since you can tweak that table directly as needed.

My IAT's were measured in the plenum, or post blower discharge

Yea we knew it was a stupid idea and after explaining to them why not to do it most people understood.
