Default Fi 5.3/6L80 crowd, stall ??

Greetings all! I have finally started taking my truck to the track and its an absolute hoot... after about 150ft.

2002 blazer with a 5.3/6L80 from a 2012 Silverado. Stage 2.5 PRCs and 212/218 .600 TSP truck cam. 78/68 tnetics , ford 9" and 3.20 gears. 27" tires. Its an absolute turd off the line. I flat foot it out of the hole to a 2.25 60' and run 12.50 at 113 so far ( maybe 10 runs total now ). ive been battling heat since its been in the 80s here and I only get 1 good pass before My IATs are so high I pull all the timing unless it sits for 2 hours between passes. The truck is great on the street dealing with heat, so I will just add methanol injection shortly to cope with IATs.
Anyhow, the stock converter is killing me I believe, and im curious if the numbers sound right and if anyone has had much luck getting short times down all stock with boost. More so the turbo crowd since you wait for boost for a sec like me.
I did race a stock 2010-ish sierra last time at the track and we left and ran identical until the 60' ' or so out which is both good and bad as I would expect my larger heads and cam would be a little bit of a snoozer down low, but im also heads/cam turbo and leaving like a stock Silverado but only weigh 4300lbs so theres that...
Footbrake I stall to about 1550 or so before it starts to push through the brakes and as soon as I leave and wood it it reach about 1650 and then it seems to be locked from there. shortly there after it comes into boost and all is irrelevant and it goes like stink. Do those numbers sound correct? any suggestions short of throwing a stall in? Ive played with timing and fuel a lot and nothing seems to make a noticeable different in short times.

I'd say you're right. It needs a 2800-3000 stall converter to make this get out better.
