Default Exhaust setup for whipple??

Need some ideas for my exhaust. I want to do longtube headers, a cut out and then a quiet muffler. That way it can be quiet on trips and when I leave my place in the mornings or I can open it up when I want it to be loud.

Tell me exactly how you would do it.

I was thinking the obx longtubes, a DHM (?) cutout and then a large stlye magnaflow?

My mods are listed below. After the exhaust I plan on doing the whipple charger, injectors and new tune. I need the best setup for everything I have now plus the whipple. Thanks!

I think something like this would be great...

I'm running the OBX headers and a Billy Boat Exhaust. The quality of the OBX is great but the fitment needs a couple hammer adjustements so it doesn't rattle against the frame. It also had some clearance issues with the front driveshaft but it was too hard to fix. Performance wise they are great for a stock to med/high performance applications and are a great value for the price. The 2 1/2" collectors may be a little restrictive for the big HP guys but they are plenty for my/your application.

The Magnaflow is a great choice for thoughty sound without droning. I haul my wife wife and kids on a regular basis so I went with a pretty quiet Billy Boat system. Looks great, fit perfect but it is probably a little more restrictive than other systems.

Sorry, no video camera.

It actually sounds really mild at idle and at cruize. No droning at all but it sounds like a healthy smallblock at WOT. It sounds like a lot like this corsa system.

I plan on bumping up the boost soon (new D-1) so I'll probably switch it to a pair of Magnaflow's to open up the flow but still keep the cruise sound down to a minimum. I probably post it here on PT.net when I pull it off.

i'd run the pacesetter headers and y-pipe into a single 3" big case magnaflow (22" long) and dump it over the axle. thats what i plan on doing to mine unless i sell the blower and go turbo

id run some stainless longtube headers w/ 3" collectors to a magnaflow off-road x-pipe to true-dual 3" piping to 2 of the longest magnaflow mufflers that will fit and have your exhaust exit wherever you like, but dont dump it. also have the cut-outs between the header collectors and the xpipe.
