Depends what you call major....I fit a 4" core on mine but I had to cut the hood support thing and move the trans cooler, which I was going to do anyway. I have the same truck as you.

I went back and reinforced the hood latch support thusly:

Works perfect.

People can say the ebay intercoolers are crap, but I paid $150 for this one and it has been awesome thus far. IATs dont even budge under boost up to 6psi or so.

Welcome to PT, btw

Idc what people say about the ebay intercooler's because the guy that sold me the turbo kit bought one off ebay used it on the kit that i now have and is currently using it on his new setup with absolutely no problems. He said he bought a cx racing intercooler. I wasn't sure on the intercooler specs since he has a silverado ss. But my iat's are getting up there.

Since you have a 99 you might want to look at this: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-truck-497023/

EBay cooler kit here as well. Setup just like atomics. I believe its 31x11.5x3. Works pretty good I'd say.

I'm running a cx racing 31"x12"x4" and it's awesome! Smokeshow has same one! They work! And for $150 shipped! You can't beat it!

Im considering the 4" core but i'm kinda second guessing it since u have to trim the grill alot more then u would with the 3" core am i correct?
