What cam do you run now? Do you think there is any power left in a cam swap?

i think there is a lot of power left with a cam if i wanted to make it into more of a race car. my current cam is a 234/232 595/590 114+1(i think). i big solid roller and taking it to 7000rpm would have to pick up some prety good hp but thats not the direction i want to go. not right now anyways.

got some charts to look at.

at the low boost i would say i am making almost exactly the same hp per psi. you can see where the two graphs cross and it is right at the same point as the boost crosses. it seemed high but i guess it is right where it was before. run 9 is the single pt88 and run 1 is the twins. you can see the diference in spool time there too.

from there it just goes down hill. here is a 20psi comparison. you can see where it wanted to build boost up to about 10psi but it didn't spool very quickly from 10-20psi. up top where the boost was about the same psi it was down about 50hp with the twins. run 8 is the twins and run 13 is the single 88.

the next trip to the dyno should be a lot better. i got the vicjr intake tonight and starting bolting that up and i will at least have some manual cut outs on the 3" dp's. 3.5" pipe is prety expensive so i might not upgrade the dp's just yet.

jim in the 19 psi range you said it had nothing left, any idea of what was running out of?
i thought with the twins you would of had so much more then your single set up.
it's a start, i still have my fingers crossed for 1300 or close to it.

my guess at this point the exhaust is holding it back. it's a little hard to believe since i dont have very much exhaust but thats what i am going with.
