Default dyno on sunday

2pm sunday. i was going to wait till i got an intake on there but i am interested in seeing how it is doing compared to the single. at the current boost level of 16psi it feels and gtechs very close to what it did with the single at the same psi.

some things that are different than before.

1. twin gts70's vs a single pt88
2. full 3" exhaust(to that axle anyways) vs single 4" with a cut out
3. twin open waste gates vs big single gate tied back into down pipe
4. double the sized intercooler with double the flow pump
5. double the airfilter because of the twins
6. stock style lifters vs comp r's(comp r's were loud)

stuff that is the same... intake, meth, fuel system, tb, injectors, driveline, motor.....

i see some posiable large gains in the future with twin cut outs and larger dp's and eldebrock intake with 90mm tb but for now i thought i would just go and see where i am at.

it is posiable that even though the power feels about the same at this boost level that it will really come on hard as the boost goes up, especialy above 900rwhp where the pt88 was starting to run out. at least i think it was runing out, it may have been hitting some other restriction.

it is more laggy and i expect that to show on the dyno. i may have to spray it on the dyno to build boost so i can get up to the psi i am dynoing at. just like i do on the street/track.

You have a good experiment set up, it will be cool to see what changes. When the wastegates open does the truck sound like it is running through a cut-out or different?

when running thru a cut out on the down pipe you could still hear the turbos spooling up. it sounded good. with an open waste gate dump it just gets real loud all of the sudden. sounds like open headers and every bit as loud. can't hear the spooling sound at all anymore . it's not the sound i am looking for. i might try and get some mini mufflers just for the wg dumps.

Good luck Parish, should be very interesting to see now vs. the 88. How soon are you planning the intake manifold+TB?

2 quick questions

When did you say drag week was?

And are you dynoing alone or is it a Dyno day so to speak? a buddy of mine is having a CD release party so i would like to see the truck run, if possible strap mine down before the party.

sept 10th is the first day.

it's not a dyno day. i tried doing the dyno day thing before and it just stretchs into a 12hour day at the dyno. dynodan really takes his time wich is great, i dont feel rushed but if there are a lot of cars to dyno it takes forever.
