Has anyone tried to use a duramax intercooler in a gas truck? Are they very restrictive? Just thought it would be a clean and easy install.

 

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it will fit without some extensive modification. A couple of years ago someone this site was trying and from what I remember they couldn't get it to work due to the lack of a body lift that a duramax has or something like that.

 

I too remember someone trying. I think the final result was that it wasn't worth it for all the time and money that had to be put into it.

 

Whippled496 installed on in his 2500hd, however it didnt work as expected. He ran into some issues and ended up scrapping it. Look him up, there should still be a thread on it let me see if I can find it.

I have been toying with using either a turd or dodge truck IC...I think the height is good it's just the width of the discharge tubes.

it would be cool to have somthing in that small gap between the rad and condensor.
