has anyone ever had to or heard of having to drill a hole in there TB in order to increase airflow so truck will idle correctly after installing a turbo and cam?

kinda what i figured the only reason I’m asking is because my truck is currently being tuned and the tuner wants to drill a hole in the blade in order to fix the problem and it just seemed alittle odd and maybe like he was taking the easy way out in order to fix the problem

he’s telling me that truck is requesting more air and the computer will not allow him to open the TB any further...I’ve had my truck tuned by him in the past multiple times and have never once had any issues like this he tuned the last Turbo set up i was running without a problem but now I’m running a bigger Turbo and a cam and he’s having issues with idle could we be over look something small like too small of an air filter or a restrictive intercooler?? Just thinking out loud at this point
