My kits use precision gates. And they come with 5 springs.

After seeing what happening. I think you have a controller glitch here.
the kit is about 2 years old. i bought the truck with the kit already on it. if it was the controller, wouldnt the issue be there regardless of the wastegate routing?
are you saying you think the controller is hooked up incorrectly, or a faulty controller?

No not really. The problem
Could be in the controlled ability to control the gate at higher psi.
That's why I was asking if you had tried hi on a spring only.

There has been several threads over the years where the controller was the glitch.

Is this a precision gate or something else?

I'm running 3.5" off the turbo all the way back. Stepping up to a 4" after the DP wouldn't be a bad thing but I doubt it would net me another 10hp at my power level... especially with the gate vented.

I'm running 3" DP to 3" pipe with 3" cutout (SP boost activated) before the muffler then into 3" Varex Muffler (remote controlled straight). WG is dumpped to atm. It's holding well at 15psi.

If his WG is routed back to exh pipe, it should not matter between the two settings, isn't it. If it's dumpped to atm and creeps at higher boost setting, then it might be a WG issue, not being large enough to vent exhust.

denali, its the opposite. no problems controlling boost at any psi vented to atmosphere. only on higher boost vented to exhaust. i tried another manual boost controller from a buddie of mine just for ***** and grins this morning, and it does the exact same thing. as it did before. i would think if its a WG issue, the boost creep issue would be there no matter how its vented. im not ruling anything out at this point though. this is my first turbo setup, and its been a rather steep learning curve thus far. lol

Sounds to me like your exhaust can't flow enough to let the reg exhaust and the added wg exhaust through it.

I finished my full 3 inch and 4 inch tip with huge magnaflow muffler. It's nice and quiet driving around and flows more than my previous flowmaster 40 series because I am seeing another psi of boost at wot. Wg is still open dump.
