Towing the car to the track it blew up the ac line and it pissed all over. Can I order a gm line thats a couple inches longer? Or am I stuck getting a custom one made?

Dp was wrapped and the ac line was wrapped in the heat protector sleeve that comes in the trick kit.

Might be me but this was the first time I drove it w out the ac on. Maybe that was enough to pop it

 

Get a custom one made. It'll likely be cheaper than GM anyway. I think mine was like $75, including having the AC shop make it.

 

Do u have a turbo blanket??? Was the a/c line touch the down pipe?

 

Get a custom one, get it routed away from the DP and turbo flange. Then wrap it up. Mine blew up the first time I drove it with turbo on lol

 

Damm I have my dp unwrapped and ac line is not wrapped I need to order something ASAP for protection. First time I heard of this and my dp is real close
Do you guys know of any good heat shield or kind of wrap for the ac line

 

W got a custom hose made on our turbo cc. That was with the DP wrapped, turbo blanket and ac line wrapped.

 

I have a turbo blanket also. I'm camping at a beach for a week. After this ill get a custom line made

Where did the line burst?

I have everything wrapped, even after a long drive I can grab the AC line without getting burnt. The wrap works very well to reduce radiant heat.

 

Mine burst too...then caught the turbo blanket on fire 0_o
