DP heat blew up my ac line

You shouldn't need a custom hose. Since you have to remove the line now anyway you can manipulate the hose to clear the turbo better before tightening the fittings and putting freon back in. The same thing happened to me, and I fixed with a new stock gm line. That was a long time ago and many miles towing quite a load.

It was cheaper and faster to haveva custom line made for me

No doubt if you can get a custom line for a reasonable cost it would be the better option. I had to have my A/C back working immediately, and the dealer had a hose on the shelf or I would have gone custom, but have never had another problem after slight rerouting.

I run the eBay blanket that everyone on here does and DEI makes this heat shield tape that works pretty good. I made two passes over my ac line with it and I think it helped my ac cool the cab faster.
