Low load highway driving isn't the same when its 293ci vs 346, 364 or higher... A 4.8 is going to be loaded more to maintain speed, especially at 85mph or pulling a boat... And E85 burns slower so your EGTs will be higher as well. Your cruise timing does look a little low though, Rob. Add some and you might see some better mileage and torque at cruise, and cooler exhaust pipes.

I'm looking at stock tune 4.8L I got off Hptuners forum, man I guess after 4000x flashes all my stuff got cutout down up top...I think the truck is do for a ground up re-tune... I usually focus on what I want on a 2-step/trans brake boosting/ top end. Need to re-group down on little things.

Hey Foose, I am doing a similar build to what your truck started out as. 4.8 ls6 cam 5 speed single 76mm. It is for the ol lady to drive thinking 15 psi inter cooler. Make a custom pass manifold turbo mount. What size injectors you recommend? Any other recommendations?

Have you logged emap(exhaust manifold absolute pressure) yet? That will tell you if the hot side is what is holding you back. Typically you want to keep it close to 1:1 as possible. Typically you can get away with 1 psi boost:1.5 psi emap and still be doing ok. I am not really familiar with the v8 but the theory should be the same as a 4banger. If you are making alot more pressure in the exhaust manifold then you are in the charge pipe it can cause you to loose power. It kills the efficency of the turbo leading to little to no power gains with an increase of boost.
