Default Does Ca regulate anything after the cat??

So after someone mentioned an STS turbo for my truck, i started to think if it would be possible to add a custom remote mount turbo and then remove the intake pieces and swap tunes for smog.

Think this is possible??

Who would they be to fail me for something thats "not hooked up" unless i'm at the track?

behind the cats you should be safe from even the strictest ofsmog *****. STS doesn't have a carb legal kit for your truck either? wow. Just doit, can you say low 11's?

No one makes stuff for this truck. I really have everything you can buy for power. except a TB spacer...and the illegal header(which i'd have if it didnt make you reroute the exhaust).

I'd have to use a universal STS kit. And really i think i could(with the help of close friends) build my own kit for alot less. A few of my buddies are certified welders and i know a guy with a muffler shop who could bend and sell me some tubing.

and i gotta figure out what kinda high output injectors will work on this engine. I'm hoping that they use the same injectors as the trailblazer I6(since the I5/I4 are based around that engine)

I'll be happy with mid 12s in this truck.

You can do anything before the maf and after the cats.
I dont see the fun in going that route though. You can get away with some serious mods if you can get past the visual.

I'm more curious where you found serious mods for this truck? (chevy colorado)

Sound like a remote turbo will be right what i need once i figure out my injector situation.

I hate to tell you but that is regulated. Anything that alters the emissions control on a vehicle is subject to inspection. A turbo will alter the emissions on the truck.
