Default Direct port methanol injection systems

I’m currently running a methanol injection system and was looking into some direct port methanol systems. Just curious if anybody on here is running a direct port setup and if there are any downsides to them?

I use methanol as the fuel with my direct port nitrous under my blower, does that count?

I designed a spacer and had it waterjet, then had nitrous express install spray bars for me. Ive used it up to about a 200 shot under 15psi of boost and worked great.

this was my initial thought, but what about one nozzle spraying right before the throttle body, just like mine is setup now. I’m running a stick Tbss intake and I was worried about even distribution with it just spraying one nozzle! Lol

There are very few applications that will benefit from injecting methanol that close to the cylinder.

So instead of race fuel, pump gas, or E85 you are spraying nitrous with meth. I never heard anyone do that. Is it common is primarily done with supercharged setups?

Not necessarily. I did it with a turbo. Nitrous+meth=extremely cold air charge. I never pulled out spark advance with that setup, just let it eat.

No idea, but I already had everything set up for meth so figured why not. Figuring out jetting was interesting because the meth pump is at 200psi and you need such a high volume of meth relative to gas. Trial and error was really the best way. Kept fattening it up until I was happy.

Exactly what I did. 19 degrees no matter what

IATs were down ~45F from the start to the end of the 1/8th mile with the blower at 15psi.
