Default Did I go to far?

Wondering if maybe I'm pushing my luck with this combo. 2004 lq9 block, stock long block, stock bolts and gaskets. Texas speed tv2 cam, fbo, d1sc. Recently over the few months I've made some changes. Before on 91 I was making (on a very forgiving dyno) 595/515rw at about 7/8lbs. Dropped from a 4.25 pulley, to a 4.00, converted to a return fuel system but kept the stock rails, walbro 450, and lastly a alky control methonal Kit. Going in tomorrow for a retune, but I'm chomping at the bit that with a few more lbs of boost, assuming 10-11lbs, I might be pushing the stock internals too far. My tuner is great and I trust that he will have it dailed in, but am I running on borrowed time? I assume I'll pick up anywhere from 50-70rw. Should I be worried?

IIRC the 05 and up have stronger rods however I am just not sure how far stock gaskets and bolts will carry you. Don't see the internals being an issue. If you don't push water I think you'll be totally fine.

My LQ4 has been at 12-15psi for years now, it's seen countless pulls at 15psi to 6600 rpm and all is well. That's on 93 and Meth. Anytime you push it it's a gamble, but I think you'll be fine as long as fuel is good and the tune is on.

Valve train mods only.

The stock shortblock won't be an issue for a while yet as long as timing and fuel are kept in check. I'd be more concerned about those TTY bolts than anything else at this point.

Well that eases my mind a bit. I honestly just want a 10.99 slip and I'll be happy. Don't care what happens after that lol

You should be good with only 12 lbs. max. Just be careful with the timing and don't forget that the blower sucks up a lot of power. 600 rwhp on a turbo setup is one thing, 600 rwhp with a centri blower is another.

You can start tearing **** up at much lower power levels with a centri compared to a turbo.

Like everyone has said, don't get greedy with the boost or timing. If something breaks, it'll be a piston or pistons first.

Keep timing in check and fuel... you'll be fine.

I wouldn't worry at all if I was you. You'll be fine.
