I don't know about the Goodyear tensioner but the Gates Tensioner comes with a smooth wider pulley so you have to swap it out with the one from your stock unit or buy a new one. the Gates p/n for the correct pulley is 38009

On truck testing- I found that if I peddled the truck in first gear once the (tensioner that came with the Radix kit) the belt would jump off the tensioner pulley two ribs forward. then I tested the Gates part and so far the belt has stayed in place, also I did a couple off pulls this morning (37deg weather) and I data logged with HPTuners as I always do and it appears that my KPA log is smoother (only .3 psi fluctuations) than with the Radix supplied tensioner, and so far no belt dust.

So far it Looks like the Gates tensioner may be the one for better reliability and less belt slip, more testing in the works.

excellent info!

Update:
I have been running this Gates tensioner with a Goodyear GatorBack belt and a Nelson 3.0 pulley for some time now.
The Gates tensioner is a better unit as far as it has more tension (10 to 15lbs) then the other ones, I have had NO problems with the belt jumping off even when you back peddle the motor under boost and there is less belt slip (documented with my HPT scanner logs).
well this winter we have had some very high Baro days 30.68baro and at 29*F, durring these days I started to see belt slip and dust at 12 to 13.5 psi, so I installed a Reichard Racing Ultra Grip 2.9 pulley, I made 10 WOT high boost runs and was only seeing 12psi and lots of belt dust with the RR 2.9 pulley and the GatorBack belt, so I put on a Gates Belt because it has more surface area and sure enough no belt dust and 13 to 14psi and pulls strong as hell, but only for three 35 to 120mph runs and on the fourth run at the 2 to 3 shift I hear a BANG at the shift and loose power (I thought I blew it up)
turns out that I ripped the belt in Half.

I wounder if this RR Ultra Grip pulley grips to much and durring the shift when the Engine rpm jumps from 6100 to 4000 and the blower is turning 15500rpm if this just rips the belt apart.
Or I wonder if the Gates Tensioner isn't to much tension, Maybe the belt needs to slip alittle, now the Question is do I go back to the GatorBack which slips a little or Back to a Dayco tensioner that has less tenion or was this just a faulty belt.

BTW has anybody else ripped a belt in half.
Also I wonder how hard it is on the Radix blower drive when you have no belt slip durring a firm shift.
