Default Daily drive your blown forged trucks?

I daily drive mine, about 16k a year. While the power is nice.. I want more. I am debating on going forged and tvs or if I just need to get a play vehicle and go wild in that... In my browsing I notice a lot of people that go all out don't daily drive their trucks (moregrip being exhibit uno). How many of you daily drive that are running high boost and/or forged?

Plenty of guys running stock stroke forged motors are doing pretty good, if it was me, Id stay with a stock stroke also, unless I went to an LS2 block.

Does the ls2 block have better support for the cylinder liners at the bottom than the iron blocks?

I daily drove min for about three years until gas went above $4 a gallon. Then I got a beater to drive around.

The LS2 block has deeper skirts to keep the piston from rattling up the bore as bad from BDC. The main problem with stroker motors is the wrist being moved up into the oil ring and the short skirt of the piston not stabilizing the piston as it moves from BDC therefore over time egg shaping the cylinders and causing oil burning issues.

I like the 370 option personally for DD duty, better wrist pin placement in the pistons and in general just less to worry about.

I drive mine every day, it's only at ~11#'s though. I don't have anything forged, and stock internals besides the LS6 cam and springs. I cant stand driving most other vehicles due to the lack of throttle response, especially when merging or passing others on the highway. If I were going to go all out and forge it for more boost, I would probably get a different DD.

can you elaborate more on the throttle response. What size engine do you have?

Thats what I've heard to. Its too bad to because I would think the stroker motor would have a lot more grunt at part throttle low rpm while still in vacume

LQ4. Better responsiveness due to more power on tap. I was comparing my truck's drive ability to other vehicles that don't have as much power.

Slow - What about an iron LS1 (bored 5.3 -> 5.7) with forged internals? Would that have any issues like the ones you speak of? I'm thinking that an iron LS1 with forged internals and a TVS would be an ideal DD.
