The sooner part depends on your pulley combo. Just adding a waste gate offers no benefit. I may re-repulley my combo depending on how snappy she is off the line. I have 100lb injectors and e85 available but I don't have a pump capable of supplying that or rods capable of holding that 😂

So you swap in another 5.3 or a 6.2 shortblock

I prefer not to unnecessarily break anything, too.

I agree!

I believe East Coast has a restrictor plate selection that goes on the inlet and does the same function as the WG. I don't know how that would affect non boosted driving range.

I had an ECS 1500 on my Ls3 C6. Their restrictor in ingenious. Your running a maxed out rpm pulley and then restricting it back to safe boost...like 10-11 psi. Restriction washer out and it made 14.x. With the blower spinning faster it makes more torque sooner. You could make the same thing. Easy button on a D series would be to buy ecs filter and restrictor. That way it fits right and you roll it as is. And to answer a question earlier...I was in boost around 3k on hard throttle.

Awesome! Appreciate it!

My builds on hold for the time being. With everything going on in the world, 2 family surgeries in as many weeks, and closing on land in a couple weeks, I'm erring on the side of financially conservative until we get rolling into mowing season and we can see what we're going to be making consistently. We're VERY fortunate and blessed that I have a full time job that can be done from home, and we own businesses that are both 'essential'. It could be a helluva lot worse than waiting a few more months to bolt on parts that I really don't need. To keep me from straying I left all my parts in my office.....50 miles away

Started getting things ready for install yesterday. Intercooler piping came in yesterday, intercooler should be in tomorrow. Ordering a glowshift boost gauge and pillar pod for boost and WBO2 gauges. Installing new WBO2 since current sensor has about 80k on it.

Relocated ECM using an aluminum spacer I had laying around in the garage and a couple sway bar bushings left over from a sway bar kit for the Z28. Installed the bracket for the D1SC. Definitely remove the electric fans to succeed. Going to pin the crankshaft today or this week.

Went to clock the head unit oil slinger, and discovered oil slinger assembly was missing, and had a broken case bolt. Have a feeling after the email from Bob at Brute Speed that I'll have to send it back to procharger and grab my ankles- procharger doesn't sell internals, and I need 2 bearings, a shaft and gear. I sent Bob an email last night and he responded this morning! Awesome customer service!!

Also found some damage in the output shaft. Risk you take buying used on ebay I suppose.

Oof that's ugly. I'm really sorry to see that 😞

superchargerrebuilds.com can get you some stuff as well, but that girl is hammered. Ran hard and never maintained. Don't know why the slinger isn't in there however
