hey guys,
I am attending wyotech and am gonna be puting a turbo on m truck for my school project. I wanna run it kinda like an STS but don't know what kinda turbo to run? My truck specs are in my signature..... Any suggestions will help!!!

I think quite a few of the "crew" here give the 67mm a thumbs up.

 

GT67 is plenty of turbo for a 5.3. Its what I would put on a 6.0L (in fact I have one on the shelf from the old motor lol).

 

I was told that a Precision Turbo PT-61 with a .81 A/R would fit the ticket just right for a 5.3 motor. According to my calculations, my 5.3 at 6000 rpm max should require 560.763 cfm at 50.60 lbs/min which brings us to a 1.34 pressure ratio and 43.01 lbs/min of corrected air flow for the compressor map…

Skewing my dot a bit to the left on this map due to the rear mount setup would work out right it seems….Let me know what you guys think…
