crank pinning HELP

what is the best thing to use for crank pinning??? a .250x.500 piece of drill bit or grade 8 bolt shank or steel round stock?

what in the hell kind of metal works best ?

One pin will be fine .

If you ever have to pull the balancer good luck getting the hole aligned again , so only using one gives you more area to re drill if you need to in the future .

I only have one pin .
