Cold Side Piping Clearance Issue.... maybe

Default Cold Side Piping Clearance Issue.... maybe

Where the Charge pipe goes by the Passenger side Exhast Manifold.. the silicone coupling is too close for comfort.... anybody else have this problem?

Looks like ill be cutting about 1" off a pipe and try again...


BTW its a STS kit..

Mine was really close. I put a piece of 16 gauge steel around the silicone. I place the T clamps that hold the silicone on so it space the 16 gauge off the silicone. Then used a hose clamp to hold the 16 gauge in place.

I have the same problem on my truck.....I just keep an eye on it for now.....I would suggest doing something about it soon, the heat shield that blue 01 made looks like it will help.

Picture in previous post was with out. Here are some with it on. It is zinc coated so it will help it not rust. You can kinda see that the T clamps are positions so they help hold the sheet metal off the silicone at the closes point.
