Default Cats And Computers?

Got a 03 Chevy 6.0 with a magnacharger. Would love to take the cats off but am not sure if it will mess up the pre and post cat 02 sensors with the computer. Let me know if you can safely take them off without screwing up the computer.

I am just running the stock tune from magnacharger. You think you can get a tune from magna for that? All I have is a superchips tuner with their program. Can you get tunes from tuners that will load up on the superchips tuner?

Dumping the superchips and getting a good custom tune will be better all around.

I understand and totally agree. It's just that I don't have the money for the software and nobody has it around me.

Well I don't know what capabilities the superchips has, but I think with a diablo tuner you can have the pcm ignore the rear o2's. I would think the Superchips will do it too. The rear o2's don't do anything but monitor the cats anyway so even without the cats the worst problem I think you will see is an SES light. Which would be annoying to me but I don't think it will hurt anything.

Where abouts are you located? If you don't mind me asking.

Honestly that light stays on anyways so I will probably just chop them off and be done with it.

I would be willing to bet that there is someone on here closer than you think that could help you out with tuning if you want. Hell Tulsa isn't all that far from NW Arkansas. I'm not an expert tuner by far but there are some guys around here that are pretty good.
