So this year has been hectic to say the least. I took the truck for the 4th spin this year. I bet I don't have 100 miles on it with the new turbo. I did a couple full throttle pulls at 15 PSI 14.5 degrees on pump gas 93. It was running pretty good. It went from 50-100 in 3.4 seconds. Well on the last pull it went to hell. It ran horrible, smoking, stalling, but I was able to make it home. I went to pull the #1 plug and it came out hard. Well here's what I had.

I still wasn't sure what happened until I pulled a valve cover and removed the rockers. The exhaust valve stem was much higher, then I knew I popped the head off.

I'm pretty sick over it. I wanted to finally make a good pass this year, and that looks like it will never happen. These were good stainless valves with 8k miles on them.

Tks. I will get it together, but it might take some time. I'm debating on slapping my 6.0 for my Chevelle in it to drive it this year. Oh well, it could always be worse.

I don't believe so. I wasn't showing any knock retard at all. I would think it was from the valve hitting a piston from maybe floating it. I will go over my log again tonight, but I didn't think my RPM's were that high. Maybe I have a broken valve spring in there. I had already planned on going with a smaller cam before this happened. Maybe I should have changed sooner.
