S468 with the T6 83mm turbine wheel & 1.10 A/R. It's going on the L59 5.3 in my rcsb. Hope to get it on the truck before Cruisin' Ocean City in May. I got the complete kit from Kyle and I couldn't be happier! Kyle's a great guy to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. It's a heavy SOB!

 

Looks like we're both have about the same goal date! Except now were planning on doing that Capital Raceway event in April. Not sure if Im gonna have mine all done by then with my dad wanting to get his car on the road.

 

Should be a perfect turbo for that 5.3! The s465 is too small and a s475 has a Lil lag. Kyle is definatly the man! His kits a bad ***! I'll be watching your progress to see how it turns out!

 

Jason, I'm shooting for late April to get it done. I have the valvetrain and rear done, now all I have to worry about is fuel & the trans....for now. haha We'll see.. When are you going to throw everything on the black beast? Who's all going to Capital Raceway? I can't wait till OC. I'll race you...

Chevy, Hell yes Kyle's kits are badass!! I'll take pics as I go along. Once I get everything together and ready to throw on the truck I'll take a lot and I'll take a video or two. Oh to hear that whistle..

 

Well tomorrow im gonna get the fans done and I need to get my fuel pump done soon. Not sure who all is going to Capital yet. Only thing I really need to get everything going is rebuilt/new trans, converter, and cooler.

 

Staying with the 60E?

 

Yea gonna take a chance on it. Ive heard there is a guy down in Madison that builds some really good trannies. Gonna check into that, if it costs the same ill just go with a FLT lvl7.

Justin (BBP) thinks I wont have any problems as long as Im not racing every weekend or punching it WOT all the time on the street. Says hes run 10-12psi supercharged on his wifes ride with no issues on a mostly stock 60E.

 

Yeah he told me that too. It's all in the application and how your treat your vehicle. Now granted the 60E isn't going to hold super high horsepower or a ton of torque it has taken Camaro's and Corvette's into the 9's...and of course, those are cars. If the correct parts are chosen it should hold up fairly well as long as it's treated correctly and built towards it's intended purpose in our size trucks. They're not the best in the world but, they can be improved to an extent. If it's the same guy I contacted in Madison about building a trans then he's the same as FLT. Wayne Roger's in Chantilly has a great reputation for building race transmissions. I think he's around the same ballpark as the others though.
