Default Which cam/springs in 4.8 before turbo install? Want a little loppy sound

I know the ls6 cam and springs is a great addition to the 4.8.

I am going w/ kb racing mpt70 or the 76 havent decided yet.

Looking for a decent loppy idle but nothing out of control. Boost will be around 10psi, not sure if i'll make 15psi like foose04.

Do want to make 500 whp daily driver tho too!

IMO look for a boost cam, look into a vinci trucker cam.

Im running a Isky 212/112lsa in a stock lq4/Tc76 right now. It has a light lope, spools quick and runs hard. In a 4.8 It might have a decent little chop.

X 2, get a cam designed for boost.

My cam specs in sig with yellow LS6 springs. Makes 435hp on 91 octane with 112 radix at 10lbs. Tons of low end tho, has 400 ft/lbs starting at 2000 rpm

At 10psi you wont need much of a cam... Stay with something with a wide lsa and aimed for boost...in most cases the lopier it is the more it is not optimal for boost.

If I were you I would have a custom cam spec'd for what you want. If you don't want to go that route, just go with the Z06 cam. You would probably make as much or more power with one of them anyway lol. I'm not sure off the top of my head of any cam I would want in a turbo 4.8 that would have some chop to it. The only off the shelf turbo cam that I know of that would have much chop to it at all is the Speed Inc. TU line of cams. Mainly the TU1, but I think it will be a little big for a 4.8.

Also, you will regret going with the 76 in a 4.8 on the street. JMHO

GT-7 or ZR1 cam would be a great addition. The ZR1 cams only run like 160$ through LPE. Still I would get a custom if I were you.
