Breather filter w/s480
#1
I am getting close to firing up my new setup and I am trying to narrow down a few details. Bare with me, I am using my phone to post this.
I have a s480 going on my 408 and I am using a new set of kbracing hot pipes. My old setup was running a MP t-76 with kyles old pipes and my breather fit great. So fast forward to now and the breather doesn't exactly fit well.

I am changing my catch can setup from a non vented to a vented setup with a #8 line from each valve cover to the vented can with a line from the turbo to the can also. So my question is, is there a direct bolt on filtered breather that will clear the turbo? I haven't even put my blanket on to my turbo and it is already touching. I have considered forcing everything together and hoping that my blanket will keep the turbo from melting the full tube but I don't know. My breather I have now is a Casper breather on a TBSS filler tube.
Any ideas please let me know.

That might work. I would probably just have to get a short filler neck. That is definitely an option. Then I could just drill out and tap the old Pcv port to a 1/2" pipe since I have a 1/2 pipe to 8an adapter and run that line from the moved passenger side. Doable!

Don't you need to have a breather on the motor for fresh air? That fitting would make it really easy to put the an lines to the catch can for sure. But then do I need to get fresh air into the crankcase?
Edit-do you think a #10 is needed? Or an 8 is ok?

I understand that you do not want any pressure in the crate case. I guess in actuality you would want to have a vacuum on the crank case at all times. That would make it easier on the rotating assembly correct? Why did I even bother running a breather on my old set up? I thought you still needed a way to get fresh air into the crankcase. If not then perfect. I will just run both valve covers to the catch can.
