Default Bosch 040 In-tank

Is anyone running the Bosch 040 In-tank in their truck? I saw on one thread where a guy did away with the bucket but I didn't know if the bucket could be kept. I'm looking for a fuel system that can handle a lot of power without having to gut-up my factory stuff.

After 2 days mine was blown up like a balloon when I took it out to replace it with braided stainless submersible line. I thought regular hose would last a little while, but it doesn't.

Just make sure that it is securely strapped at least a 1/4"-1/2" off the bucket floor. Unlike the 044's, the 040's have a flat bottom with a built in screen so you don't need a sock filter.

good pricing at jayracing

He has the hookup for the 044 to have a filter as well. I believe the 044 out performs the 040 side by side.
