What about the intake manifold gaskets? Do you have any vacuum leaks? Is the vacuum gauge doing anything weird? What about the bypass valve? Is it possible that that's hanging open?

I have an electronic Autometer Cobalt and I have no complaints about it so far.
If you have a vacume leak it will show up on a log of the O2's. Do you or know anyone that has software to log that. But realistically, if you had a vacume leak that is so bad that would alow that much boost to leak by it probably wouldn't even run, or definately not well. You can go to town spraying a can of carb cleaner or ether while it is idling and see if there is a change in RPM. If there is you have found your leak.

Guage is acting normal (except it won't pass 4lbs!). No vaccuum leaks as we tested for it, manifold gaskets are all good, and we can't find any leaks. Actually hooked up a steth to it and tried a smoke pencil! Bypass valve was what we originally thot, but Mag had the whole unit and its tested to spec. They actually machined everything to make sure of the seals...R/
