Default boost a pump vs magnavolt vs msd fuel pump booster

Installing a roush tvs1900 in 2008 non-flex fuel avalanche 5.3 liter. Non-flex fuels probably need fuel boost since Magnuson includes a magnavolt in their kits for non - flex fuel trucks.

Roush Recommends Kenne Bell Boost a pump or magnuson magnavolt. This is for my daily driver and I don't want to risk lean conditions.

Also have seen programmable MSD fuel pump booster.

What is the real difference between the 3? I haven't found any good reviews or comparisons. Which should I get?

I've read up and found:

1. KB-boost a pump has a dial to increase pressure and is triggered by a fixed rate of boost 3 or 5 psi--not sure as different articles say different things.
Pros: seems to have been out the longest, most reliable. Simpler design usually is more reliable.
Cons: older technology, only uses boost to trigger, no rpm or MAF.

2. Magnuson magnavolt is triggered by MAF feed or RPM and boost of 3psi. MAF or RPM is based on different models.
Pros: Adds MAF or RPM input to trigger on. Same price as KB-Boost a pump. Smaller footprint.
Cons: May blow internal diode and leave you stranded unless you use a paperclip to bypass blown diode, then you need to replace unit. Seen these replaced with KB-Boost a pumps

3. MSD programmable fuel pump booster is the most expensive $400, new and can be programmed via usb and included software to turn on at a customer defined boost. Pressure is also variable.
Pros: fully programmable.
Cons: expensive, relatively new, read that this or older model burns out pumps.

I posted a thread with a simialr question. Ill be installing a magnuson tvs1900 within the next month and want to know if I should pick up one of these units, or go with a higher volume in tank pump. I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread too.

BAP is rpm referencing.
MV is rpm AND boost pressure referenced.

Both are very reputable. I use the Magnavolt in pair with the supplied fuel pump from Magnuson.

i didnt think you needed to change the pump or do the booster on the new trucks regardless of whether they had flex fuel or not. there is a guy with a 4.8 running one with no problems as far as i know and all the 4.8s did not come with flex or dod. i wasnt planning on a pump or pump mods on mine once i get it in

I think you mean the Kenne Bell BAP is boost referenced, it has a hobbs switch that triggers it at 4 psi (with the wires spliced together), iirc.
