Cool

I hear that you will lose 2-3 or more psi through the IC itself. Could it be possible that the IC alone is reducing the boost? Make sure all the pipe connections are aligned and that the clamps are tight and that the silicon sleeves are not damaged. Try some boost taps as vanilla suggested and see what you get.

Sounds like the IC is doing it's job and the air is a lot denser.

I just saw that the vacuum line T ing off the boost gauge is quite a bit bigger than what the vacuum line should be. It was hanging on there and it had blown off the zip tie I had holding it. Could it be that the blowoff isnt getting full pressure and isnt closing all the way?? I changed the vacuum line with the meth system which is a much better fit and I cant use the meth until I get a new nozzle holder. However now the T that the boost gauge is T ed off of is open on that end. So will I not get an accurate reading until that vacuum line is replaced??
Where do you guys get the correct sized vacuum line. The auto parts stores near me dont have any small enough.

Not really sure what you are saying but your blowoff should work under high vacuum only. That is when your truck is under way and your throttle is completely closed. This situation builds high vacuum in the engine and opens the blowoff valve. The rest of the time the spring in the blowoff should hold it closed tightly if it is working properly. If you think it is not working disconnect the vacuum line to it until you figure out what other problems you may be having.
Do you have a vacuum fitting open to the atmosphere? That is that there is no line on it? If so you will have a vacuum/boost leak. This will cause the engine to run rough at idle because the engine will be getting extra air through the vacuum line and it will be running lean. At boost this will leak some boost and probably lower the readings your guage is reporting. All your vacuum lines need to be sealed.
Sorry I am not sure where to get the small vacuum line but I thought that the auto supply store or maybe the dealer should have it. Most of my vacuum lines are 1/4" and I use 1/4" fuel line. I have one that is either 5/16" or 3/8" and I use fuel line for it as well. You can get silicon tubing if you can find it and it is probably superior as it will seal better without clamps and is more flexible. The only smaller size vacuum line I have was supplied by STS with their meth kit.

That was part of the problem!!!! The blowoff is LOUD!! I cant believe how much air its letting through at IDLE!!! Its like a hairdryer!!! Im now getting 7- 8 lbs of boost at the shift. Im still going to go over the joints with JB weld but I dont think its necessary..... Does it sound right to go from 10lbs and meth without an intercooler to about 7-8 with one and no meth??

How much extra pipe did you add?? Ive got quite a bit. Its not easy getting things routed with the outlet of the vortech. But Im not sure If 2-3 lbs is reasonable, guess I'll find out this weekend.

Me too. Hopefully I'll get another 1# back when I go over the welds on the front pipes. Does anyone have any idea where I can order a goodyear gatorback belt or at least look and see if they make it in the size I need?? I have a 3.12 on there now and Im going with a 2.87 as soon as I find a way to get this pulley off. I think the guys that changed it may have used an impact I tried the belt and lockjaws with a breaker bar and it wouldnt budge..... and Im not a small guy.

I buy mine at Autozone. the last 4 numbers in the part number are the length in inches. eg. 406 0685 is 68.5"
