Default Boost control necessary

Do I need to install one if I'm only going to run about 10lbs. It's my DD.

No, Just put a 10lbs spring in the wastegate and run it. A boost controler can only turn boost up from spring pressure.

also keep in mind that if you run the boost source from the compressor you will make around waste gate pressure. If you get the source from a vacuum manifold you will make 1.5-2 psi more.
