Default boost on 11:1 compression

my buddy has a question yall might be able to answer.

1st gen 383
carbeurated

I am toying with the idea of boost, my static compression is 11-1, but my dynamic compression is only 9.5-1 with the camshaft that I have, I do not have any detonation issues with 93 pump fuel, as a matter of fact I had to take my timing to 68 degrees before I finally got spark knock(just to know where the limit was at) running at 38 degrees I can run 87 pump fuel still with no problem. 75cc combustion chamber aluminum heads, 6" rods, .163 keith black pop-up pistons, 3.75 stroke, cam @.050 252-258 duration, lift is .631-.630, 110 lobe seperation installed at 106 intake centerline. Any info would help. Does it really matter what my dynamic compression is or not??

Really I would do a bottle instead with your setup. What heads are those?

Well Tahts Not An Ideal Candidate For Fi... But It Could Be Done... I Would Say Your Gonna Lose Some BOOST With The Overlap. But I Definitely Would be cautious and raise the boost slowly.

You should be able to run a lower amount of boost, maybe 5-6 lbs, even more with timing retard. They make forced induction kits for the Z06 Vette's and they have a fairly high compression ratio.

he already has the bottle 250 and 150, he wants the power all the time. 210 eliminator AFR heads is all i know but, ill ask him the specs if that would be helpful..
