boost on 11:1 compression
#1
my buddy has a question yall might be able to answer.
1st gen 383
carbeurated
I am toying with the idea of boost, my static compression is 11-1, but my dynamic compression is only 9.5-1 with the camshaft that I have, I do not have any detonation issues with 93 pump fuel, as a matter of fact I had to take my timing to 68 degrees before I finally got spark knock(just to know where the limit was at) running at 38 degrees I can run 87 pump fuel still with no problem. 75cc combustion chamber aluminum heads, 6" rods, .163 keith black pop-up pistons, 3.75 stroke, cam @.050 252-258 duration, lift is .631-.630, 110 lobe seperation installed at 106 intake centerline. Any info would help. Does it really matter what my dynamic compression is or not??

Well Tahts Not An Ideal Candidate For Fi... But It Could Be Done... I Would Say Your Gonna Lose Some BOOST With The Overlap. But I Definitely Would be cautious and raise the boost slowly.

he already has the bottle 250 and 150, he wants the power all the time. 210 eliminator AFR heads is all i know but, ill ask him the specs if that would be helpful..
