OK. Now I have 2 completely different recommendations for my new setup

1. Dur 253/256, Lift 646/630, LSA 114 +4
There was also a "milder" option that knocked about 10* off those durations, don't recall the other numbers

2. Dur 220/230, Lift .597/607, LSA 115 +2

Any opinions?

 

For the AV? I'd consider the #2 cam with the setup in your sig.

 

It's for the motor in the linked thread. Same truck but with an 80E and bigger blower.

Anyone concerned about the overlap on #1? I get around 30*.

 

I'd go with the smaller cam as well. I had a large cam in my truck for awhile and I really didn't like it. I guess it depends on what you're looking for though....all out high RPM max power, or good torque and power under the curve?

 

Not sure?? confused actually,the overlap is huge?the durations are huge and tight for even an LS7 headed combo going in a 6k vehicle,and the exhaust lift being less?? What kind of info or explanation did they give for this.I am all ears on this one.

Mine has 5* and that some think is a bit much.

 

I'm no expert, but all the blower cams I have looked at have -ve overlap.

 

why not ask a cam expert. I read lots of good things about Patrick G. on ls1tech.
