You got a 5000rpm stall in that thing?

in that first video it looks the that front end is fighting to lift up, though it could be just the camera angle

The converter isn't supposed to stall that high. It was originally spec'd for 2900 but would stall between 3600-3800 with the 1.6L Whipple. This setup is making a lot more torque - the cool air hitting the IAT is letting the PCM leave all the timing in. That combined with the extra 4psi of boost over what I had before is making huge difference.
What happens on a roll is the weight transfers and hooks up making the front end get light for a moment. When the suspension reaches the top of its travel it breaks traction and falls down, but then hooks up again and pulls some more. It's bizzare, it actually bucks, and only from a slow roll. From a dig the tires just spin. I ordered new tires on Friday, they are going to be smaller which I know won't help with traction - BUT they are a closer match tot he pair of M&H drag radials I already have mounted to a pair of the same wheels. I will get video of that. It feels like it will pull the front wheels if I can just get it to hook up.
I still have a restrictive cold-air inlet tube on it and no MAF sensor. (Don't try that without a 2-bar MAP!)

Line pressure had to be increased today. I decided the 4L80-E was taking just a little too long to shift and was starting to make me nervous. I added some line pressure to the last 30% of throttle position for the 1-2 and 2-3 shift, but fourth was already maxed. there is still more headroom left on the 1-2 and 2-3 but it looks like the next time the valvebody is down I'll be drilling out the feed holes larger to compensate. Shifts are firm and quick again, for the moment.
