Default Which is the better option?

I was looking to go either 6.0 or cam swap my 03 5.3 extended cab. I can buy a running 2500 with about 100k miles for around $2500. A tvs I believe 1900 kind of fell in my lap that I can buy for a lil more then a HD. The guy bought the truck with it on there but has no use for it so he' swapping all stock stuff in. He believes it a 1900 but doesn't know. Is there a way to 100% identify it is, and how to check that it's good? He just took all the stuff off the other day so I can' test it with out buying it first. What to look out for on these?

Yeah, it' def a 1900, I was looking them up and for some reason the old radix kept showing picks of the 1900. What to look for to make sure that it' legit and not fudged, what fails on these? I looked it up and I couldn' find one failure of one.

Is there a cover you can pull off and look at the gears?

It' 2 hours away, so this weekend I'm gonna drive there. I was just wondering if there was an absolute way like" oil from here walk, or etc." I' gonna bring a pen mag to check oil and stuff.

About the only thing that could go wrong is bearings, gears and seals. My Whipple had a little drag when turning it by hand like it had lip seals. If the gears and bearings are in good condition and nothing has slipped the rotors should never contact anything.

Should be fine if you can turn it over smoothly by hand without it catching on anything. The bypass valve breaks more than anything because its flimsy plastic on the side. If its silver with the J tube and inlet at the back its an older radix, if its black with the inlet on the front corner its a tvs.

Yeah, it' black with the inlet on the front. I got confused when I started looking it up and the pics for a 1900 came up as a older radix. After more searching and digging it' a 1900.

Only problem is my truck is a 03, non flex, also return fuel. So, even with the whole "kit" I still need injectors, a return, and at least a pump. Since this, what recomendations to make it work with mine. What pump, injectors, and FPR. With the kit, the hand held, is it married to the ecu it was programmed too? From my ford days I know the SCT were married. If so, how do I get it where it'l go on my ecu?

Also, ATOMIC, what' the best way to reach you to order HP pro? Within the next week or so I want to put a order in with you.

Shoot me an email at atomicfandp@gmail.com and I will get you taken care of. I can also do custom remote tuning for you instead of you having to mess with a handheld. If you plan to run more than the stock pulley size I recommend just going straight to a 2bar SD setup. All you need is a 2bar MAP sensor since there is an IAT sensor wired into the blower manifold already.

Parts depend on what your ultimate goal is. If its this blower and stop youll be fine with a walbro 255, some 42lb injectors, and stock FPR and lines. If you will want to grow to up the boost or more power, may as well start off with some 80lb injectors, a walbro 450, and aftermarket FPR. Larger fuel lines are optional up to about 800hp.
