01 Tahoe please explain when to use which 4WD option ?

Default 01 Tahoe please explain when to use which 4WD option ?

can anyone explain when to use the different 4wd option on a 2001 tahoe ?

also anyone know what speed u have to be going to switch from 4wd to regular or vice-versa ?

2wd to 4 hi can be done at any speed it says...

Now do you have auto 4wd?

Pretty much snowy bad conditions use 4hi

OFF roading and BAd baD **** USE 4lo

2wd, most surfaces.
auto 4wd, light snow/ice/dirt/slippery conditions
4hi deeper snow/much/sand/dirt
4lo off roading/etc

4-HI on the silverados will go through anything but if you are trying to show off you can get through a mudhole real fast just put in 4 low youl go through anything with speed, here some advice full throttle the tahoe when going through a mudhole higher than your knees and youll make it . laters

You can go from 2-hi to 4-hi any any speed

4-lo , you need to stop before engaging and you must have it in Neutral.

Auto 4wd can be engaged at any apeed.

well mine is the push button and takes like a minute or two pushing the button and shifting to neutral and out of it , .
