The Megasquirt system does seem to be more wallet friendly. I'm afraid I'm not quite savy enough to try it though. I'll have to stick with plug and play.

Nice parts. I always enjoy looking at a pile like that while putting it together in my head.
Have you thought about running two fuel cells? Somebody might make one that would fit between the frame rails in the spare tire location. Since you have access to TIG welding and obvious skill in it, you could even make your own in aluminum.
With the fuel out back you've got more room for dual exhaust. A smaller second cell could be for racegas.

i learned how to tig on aluminum wasnt that hard to me.

those welds look pretty good. looks alot better than the ones you posted when you first got your machine.
The biggest thing with aluminum is getting and keeping the metal clean, that means having designated wire brushes, welding tips ect just for alum to get away from contamination

I can't keep up, Jim. Are you still running a stock rear end and gears? If so, what gears on in this beast at this time?

Get that bish running again...

He's got some 3.73's out of an Avalanche 10-bolt in there, AFAIK.

$1000 easy if its all stainless (including flanges, any v-bands, etc.), I am going through it right now, 1 3/4" headers, 1/2" stainless header/turbo/wastegate flanges, header v-bands, and 3 1/2" stainless down pipes. God forbid if you use merge collectors ($600+ for a pair, I would'nt suggest them on a turbo setup). Purchased most of stainless from Stainless Works. My flanges came with the engine from Nelson Racing Engines, so not quite sure what they cost, plenty I am sure.

Now the fun begins, cutting and tigging all the bends together, maybe this weekend I can get started.....

i am going with a log manifold and 3" dp's so i will be spending a little less then you but yes it is all 304 stainless including 1/2" thick flanges and vbands at the turbo, bottom of the down pipe and wg.

i will add up the parts so far.

$257 header material. 1 1/2" (1 5/8" actual inside) pipe, 5 90's, 3' strait, 2 tapered adapters. 2" stuff, 3' pipe, 2 90's. all schedual 10 304 stainless from mcmaster-carr.

$247 down pipe materal. 6' of 3" tubing, 6 - 3" 90's. all 304 stainless

$200 for 4 - 3" stainless v band clamps

$200? for 2 header flanges 1/2" thick made out of 304 stainless and 2 turbo flanges 1/2" thick made out of stainless.

over $3000(i was asked not to give the exact price price) for 2 precision gts70's and 2 tial 44mm wg's with vband flanges.

i still need to buy an intake, 90, throttle body, rails, regulator, intercooler, intake piping and silcone couplings, air filters, oil lines and fittings, exhaust, hardware and some stuff i am forgeting. this is going to be prety expensive.
