Default Attn: NewFrontMount Turbo requires a helmet!

All I can say is, "awesome"!!!

The owner of the Trick Performance Turbo truck and I went out to the track tonight and ran a best!!

To recap: '06 Sierra ext cab, 4x4, 33" tires, toolbox, full street trim, transgo shiftkit, 42lb injectors, upgraded fuel pump, Trick Performance front mount turbo 5psi, Nelson installed and tuned.

The truck ran a 13.77 @98.88 mph!!!!
60' was 2.08x

If anyone is considering a forced induction kit for their truck, this kit is blowing away any kit on the market!

I don't think any other kit can claim 3.1 secs drop in the 1/4 mile with 5psi, to my knowledge.

The turbo allows a full boost launch with the stock converter.

Once the holidays pass, we'll try to head back out there and run a 13.5sec, I know the truck is capable of it.
We'll swap some stock tires on it (these heavy 33's are probably robbing about 50hp), remove all the xmas presents in the back, lol, and see what happens.

Tonight was 68deg and high humidity. The intercooler did it's job, intake temps were about 74degs in the stages lanes, about 84deg after a test launch and 72degs at the end of the 1/4 mile.

We'll have a video posted tomorrow. It shows us staying up with an older motorcycle, beating a transam and a few other cars.

This kit has surpassed any of my expectations and beyond,

thanks for listening,
allen

Geez..wonder what that kit would do on a RCSB?

Mine must be at least 800-1000 lbs less weight.

Question

No 6.0L kit yet Allen?
Sounds like this kit is producing great power. What are the kits capable of producing in terms of a maximum safe boost level?

Nice! What would need to be changed to make the kit work with a T76 and a 408?

Allen nice numbers for sure. Isn't the truck also required a drive shaft loop(s) now.
Might need to be careful before you know it, a roll cage will be on the list. lol

Right now the Trick Performance Products 6.0L 2500HD has pushed 12.2 lbs using the 62-1. I turned it down to a 9.5 on the daily driver. Trany woes keeps this truck from going to the dyno.(one minute all works next thing has alot of trouble shifting into 2 and 3rd gear)
12.2 we were using the A2W intercooler.

The larger turbo ONLY. The layout allows that turbo to be bolted right up.

Thanks guys,

I'm sure this setup in a rcsb would run in the low 12's. This truck weighed in at about 5700lbs. I think this is over a 1,000lbs more than a regcab.
Plus, it has larger tires and added weight.

This kit is about to go on a rcsb with a 6L swap, ls6cam, 80eswap, t76, 10+psi, right JJ,

we'll keep you updated,
allen

I'm going to be keeping a close eye on the progress of this kit, I'll be ready for one as soon as I finish paying for my 408.
