Anyone know if Livernois will pass texas inspection?

Does anyone here know if I have a chance of passing the emissions inspection in Austin with a Livernois turbo kit? I don't have a problem installing a high flow cat, but do you think that the inspection station would fail me because the stock setup has dual cats?

they shouldnt give you any problems as long as you have a cat and it will pass the sniffer. We dont have to have CARB approval here and most places dont even do that much of a visual inspection. If you have problems I can send you to a friend up here.

Sounds like I've got a chance then. With a high flow cat I think it should pass the sniffer test if they decide to do that test. I guess I could always swap in the stock exhaust and manifolds for the annual inspection, but that sounds like quite a pain!!!

Others just rely on the sniff test, and some areas do not even do a sniff test or look under the truck to see if the cats are in tack.
This was my case, pulled in, they opened the hood looked at the turbo, and then the belts and hoses, closed the hood drove the car and put a sticker on it. After charging me for a wiper blade that was starting to split, hell I had another few months before I needed wipers anyway, It hardly rains here.lol
Anyway
Good luck

When I tested with the STS in NM they only plug into the OBDII diagnostic port. As long as the stock computer is happy and there are no emission related codes stored you pass. They did not even do a visual altho the tester was a gearhead and may have fudged that portion....
