I'm a big dummy
you tack it where the shaft meets the threaded center of the pulley...where the stock fan mounts...
you can't get to where the shaft meets the pump, behind the pulley...even off of the motor...

well...
maybe the ProCharger locking up was just a coincidence...
new D1 set-up ripped the pulley off the front of the new water pump yesterday!
on the first pass after belt wrap mod!
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...lt+wrap+pulley
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...+belt+slippage

found the pulley...heated it up with a kerosene and a propane heater...slid it back on and drove home...
I guess I'll get it tacked to the shaft tomorrow...
wondering now if I'm getting some twist under boost that may be mis-aligning the belt route that may be contributing to this???

made it all the way home...
next morning I warmed the truck up and realized backing up that I had no p/s...
belt was off...
AND the pulley was cockeyed on the shaft and fell off when I touched it...

warrantied out the w/p...got the pulley on the new w/p tig welded to the shaft yesterday...
gonna look into a support arm of some sort to eliminate bracket flex...it's the only thing we can think of that may be contributing to snatching the w/p pulley off...TWICE now...

of course...the belt runs from the s/c to the p/s pump before running to the w/p...

maybe it flexes and just binds the belt tighter in general...
resulting in the crank pulley, which is routed directly to the w/p pulley,
to ****** it off ...

may have to look at a belt tensioner mod as well...not sure right now...
