Because I looked at this thread, my water pump pulley is going to come off, I just know it.
I don't run a fan, either. What I am looking at is a pulley with a threaded stub sticking out of its middle. What do you weld? It looks like one piece to me.

pulley is press-fit...
tack to pumpshaft under the "schoolbell" pulley

Underneath? It's too cold out for me to go look (40 degrees, I am a wimp), will a MIG gun get to it on the truck?

I don't see a thing wrong with tig welding the pulley to the shaft, but you could also run the vett pump with the bolt on pulley, just spaced out for the truck accesories.
