A while back I posted that I was going with a TVS2300...well everything is almost done. I just have to dial in the tune and everything should be good to go.

How much did customs ding you at the border if you don't mind?

 

680-700 I cant remember exactly. I had a "receipt" made when magna shipped it so it woulkdnt be like 2000 comming over the board.

well pretty dissapointed at the moment...truck made 500 hp and 550 ft/lb @ 13 psi. the tuner said hes going to go over the tune and see what needs to be done. This isnt what i was expecting thats for sure. I was promised 15PSI and 700 hp by magnacharger....

 

I hope you get that worked out, I would have expected a bit more myself, but it's bound to feel strong.

 

Those #'s are about what you should expect........at about 3000 rpm. If the tune's that damn far off, you might want to find another tuner. 13 psi, no matter the source of the presssure, through that manny cubes, ought to make way more. Seems to be more than a tune tweek away from where you should be.

 

do you have a intercooler? just wondering.. yea you should be making atleast 400 rwhp on the motor alone right?? im not to familar with chevies but i have never been a fan of superchargers.. if you cannot get the numbers you want make them pay to get it ripped off and install a nice turbo setup

 

15 psi on a 408 should be about 700 HP......Magna Charger can promise what the blower will deliver, however they cannot be responsible for the tuning, cam choice, and the rest of the combination. It is not their fault. 13-15 psi will add 200 HP to any combo no matter where its coming from.


Yes its intercooled. Taking off the blower and installing a turbo set up is just about the lamest post I have ever seen on this site.
